Description
The intervention, carried out in the refectory of the Pascoli Primary School in Saltocchio, involved the use of recycled polyester panels to ensure a significant improvement in internal acoustic quality, significantly reducing reverberation times at various frequencies. Specifically, sound-absorbing polyester fiber panels of varying thicknesses (40, 60, and 100 mm) were installed on both the walls and ceiling, bonded tightly. The panels were treated with water-based paints to enhance their aesthetic appeal and make the space more pleasant for children.

Technical Data
The graph below shows the reverberation time values at octave band frequencies, measured before and after the intervention, as well as a comparison with the limit values defined by the Ministerial Decree of 18/12/75.
A significant improvement in the room's acoustic response is noticeable, especially at low sound frequencies.
The panels were mounted in contact with the existing false ceiling and the walls of the room.
