Maiano Re-Lab is Manifattura Maiano's industrial research and development service, dedicated to the valorization of textile waste in a circular economy context.
Through Maiano Re-Lab, customers' waste is sorted, regenerated, and transformed into new technical materials such as felt, wadding, and panels, destined for various industrial sectors (construction, furniture, fashion, design, and industry).

Procurement
- 50% of what we buy are natural or recycled fibres, giving priority to local suppliers.
- The incoming raw materials and our supply chains are controlled with stringent chemical and quality parameters.
- Traceability: Our control system ensures product traceability throughout the supply chain.
Production process
- Recovery of industrial waste
Thanks to a unique technology, we have reduced waste to a minimum by recovering industrial waste in-line and reusing it within the same production cycle.
The percentage of industrial waste generated in 2020 was less than 1% of the amount of products made in the year. - No water use
Our production process does not involve the use of water or wet processing. - No chemicals
Our products are obtained exclusively by mechanical or thermal processing. No glue or binder is used in the process. - Energy efficiency
We are constantly striving to optimise our energy consumption. 30% of the energy is from renewable sources. - Intelligent packaging and transport
We use recycled and recyclable mono-material plastic films to package our products. We optimise our vehicle loads with innovative solutions that increase the load volume by around 30% and reduce the number of delivery kilometres.

By choosing products with the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 label, you can be sure that the products have been tested for substances that are harmful to health. The criteria adopted for the tests are updated annually and far exceed the legal requirements.
End of Life
At the end of their life cycle, our materials are recyclable, if not polluted by other substances.

The company's management system has been certified to EN ISO 9001:2015for many years. We have implemented this quality system to support the development of the company, products and services in order to consistently offer our customers the best possible quality.

Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a third-party verified product certification that demonstrates – through a mass balance – the recycled material content in products and compliance with environmental and social criteria at all stages of the production chain.
